The premise of this book was vastly different from the others, but continued well in the series. It was wonderful to see friends from past books & without spoiling anything, it was hard to see some go. This book really tackled faith, which I enjoyed.

Finally, Connor's story!! I have waited forever for this. Connor is suffering from a half millenium life crisis. He has watched his friends find mates and have children while he is left alone. Connor discovers a wounded woman in the woods. Marielle is a Deliverer that has been cast out of heaven. In his quest to help Marielle, Connor almost destroys his relationship with Roman. Marielle has cute scenes as she explores the human body. At times funny and other times unbearably sad. This installment of the Love at Stake series does not disappoint. The only problem is that I read it too fast. 4.75 stars!

I enjoyed this book for the most part thought the ending was a bit hurried tho. Heroine was cute, I really thought she did a great job with her but the hero was a little to self-victimizing towards the end.

The story of Connor, a vampire, and Marielle an angel cast down from heaven and her wings removed for disobedience. This was not even close to my favorite in the series and I think the only reason why is because she was too angelic. I prefer women in these types of books to be a litte more hard core. But she was, in fact, an angel so it was mostly my problem. That being said, I still loved the book, like all Spark's books, and can't wait for the next one.

The story and characters were great, and I enjoyed this book. I have not read every book in this series in order, but it would have been better if I had. My one and only complaint with this one is the way Connor talks. He has a awful, horribly annoying Scottish accent. I mean it is bad and quickly got on my nerves. I am all for an occasional ye but every thing Conner spoke was ye, yer, doona (do not), and the like. It kind of ruined it for me, which is too bad because if done right a Scottish brogue is so sexy, unfortunately it was not done right in this story.
My favorite one of her books! I'll be holding on to this one. I loved both characters. I really enjoyed the spin on the angels and their part in this series' world. Creative and heart-warming. 5 stars.

Not my favorite in the series, but it solves the Connor problem (namely that he hates all his friends falling in love with mortal women). At this point I have found I'm just reading the "Love at Stake" books for the story, not for the romance. This one definitely moved the world along! Some shocking things happened! Glad Ms.Sparks can keep her characters changing. I look forward to the next one - but she's running out of men!

Once again Kerrelyn Sparks does another wonderful book on the supernatural. This book will make you wonder for your self about heaven and hell and who can be forgiven.
Great quick read. I love the story and the characters are a keep you up all night to see what happens next kind of plot!I Love most of Kerrelyn Sparks books because I still have a few more to read! Received very quickly !!
I didn't read the previous books in this series, just this one by itself. It's a good paranormal romance. I enjoy the setting, characters, dialogue, etc. I would definitely love to read more. If you enjoy any paranormal romance, or horror fantasy series you will probably like this, with a combination of Vampires and Angels.
