I loved this series of books. I have read them all. This was my second reading of this book. I bought it for my daughter but had to read it again first!
It's not my favorite Jane Whitefield book, but I think it's good to start with it. It introduces Jane and you find out a lot about her background.
I keep hoping Thomas Perry will write another book about this character. They are hard to put down!

Jane Whitefield, a modern day native indian guide, guides people who need to disappear. She's always strong, and resourceful and brave, and the books move fast with lots of twists. In this one she almost gets caught. Jane is a great character, and it's hard to put this book down.

Loved this book. Love the character. I'd read it years ago and just gave it a re-read. Absolutely fast-paced. Jane Whitefield is a guide. If you find out your boss is cooking the books and need to disappear, Jane is who you need to call. I'm exhausted when I read this series-in the front door, out the back door, up the stairs, down the stairs, into the airport as a blond, out of the airport as a brunette. Wrong way down the freeway exit. Whew!! Just a good, fast, fun read. Totally recommended!

I read this book after reading several books written later in the series. I enjoyed finding how Jane got started.
