This is a great cookbook, and definitely the best vegan cookbook I've used. The chocolate raspberry blackout cake recipe is worth the price of the book by itself. My roommates eat meat but still use this book. Also recommended for cooking for lactose intolerant persons or those watching their cholesterol.

The recipes in the book totally made my mouth water when I read them, but when I finally tried one (The Chocolate Raspberry Blackout Cake) I was so impressed! I was even able to substitute spelt flour for the all purpose (cause we don't eat wheat) and coconut oil for the vegan margarin and carob powder for the chocolate and it was dubbed the best vegan cake my family ever had (and they have been vegan for the last 30 years!!) I am excited about trying more of the recipes and totally impressed with the one we've already tried! Great book!
