As I live not far from the historical setting for this book I thought there would be more information on the fire. However, the story that is told is spellbinding and will keep you guessing right to the end.

AWESOME BOOK!

This is the first book I have read of this author. It was so well written and kept me guessing until the last chapter.

Each book I read from Marlo is better and better. This story is about lies, secrets, repentance and forgiveness and most of all love. Awesome!

One of the best books I've read in a long time.
I couldn't put it down. Set in 1984 and written around historical facts of one of the worst fires in history in Minnesota.
Although fiction, I indetified with the sorrow and loss of the people in the story.
Excellent. Recommended

Veil of Fire is historical fiction based on an actual fire in Minnesota. The book shows the human nature side, not what happened. I got caught up in "who is hiding in the hills" as well as how the people worked so hard at moving forward without their loved ones. I could not imagine trying to move forward after losing everything and loved ones at the same time. I really like this book.
