Excellent book!! There are so many suspects, so many dying. Great read!

a fantastic mystery
Great book. This writer knows what she's talking about - the ER scenes ring true and while she's a "superwoman" it never grates or rings false. My first read of this author but not my last!

Awesome! Now I've got to hunt down everything else she's done...

Eileen Dreyer will have you laughing one minute and have you shuddering the next. Maggie O'Brien is tough, gritty and real. Some of Dreyer's other books tend more toward romance than mystery...that is NOT the case with this book ...it is an excellent gritty mystery!

Really good book, with an interesting twist at the end
Another Maggie O'Brien book, and it's usual fast ride
The back cover blurb below pretty much describes the book---but it doesn't tell you that I started it one evening and couldn't put it down until the bitter end and the sun was coming up. I kept thinking, 'Oh no, what next?!' and I couldn't stop until I found that out.
I'm definitely going to find more Dreyer books... but only after I catch up on my sleep from reading this one.
Maggie O'Brien is tough. She has to be-as a tactical emergency medic for the St. Louis SWAT team and a trauma nurse at Blymore Memorial. The daughter of a violent ex-cop she prefers wits over weapons. Then one of her patients, a psychotic former FBI agent known as Montana Bob, dies in the ER from superficial wounds following a botched stand-off---but not before revealing a secret about Blymore...
It's called The List---a chillingly precise run-down of expendable citizens and patients. And one by one, under Maggie's care, they're dying from inexplicable causes. With each one comes another step in framing Maggie...with each step comes Maggie's fear that no colleague or friend is above suspicion---including her lover, police officer Sean Delaney. With no one left to trust but herself, her investigation takes her into the darkest recesses of a killer's mind bent on a vengeance that targets Maggie as the final victim.

Great book, couldn't put it down.
This was my first Eileen Dreyer book and it was just okay...she's a little wordy for me -- to be honest. THat said, I'd read another and have Sinners and Saints in my TBR pile :D
Complicated plot with surprises at the end
