Wow! Brilliant! I lost so much sleep! I have finished it and I'm still losing sleep. Part of me is left disturbed and wrung out thinking how did I get through that? The other part is cheering the unique imagination at work in what may be the best book I've read this year.

Oh, wow, what a blast! An edge-of-your-seat thriller that snags your attention and sinks its teeth deep. Just when you think the danger will come from one angle, the shoe drops in another. Lowen and Jeremy are relatable characters with good chemistry and similar histories, and the tight plot makes it a quick read. If manipulating villains are your cup of tea, then make yourself comfortable with Verity. I'm delighted this novel turned out to be a fabulous introduction to an unfamiliar author. 4.5 stars.

Warning; don't start this book if you want any sleep!
It's a twisted, thriller of a plot that left me wanting more....I couldn't stop thinking about it.
This time all the hype was right on....It had me reaching for a Xanax to stop tachycardia. I was blown way from page one and the creep factor was delicious.

If porn sex is not your cuppa tea you better not read it but is is part of the manipulative bitch's persona whose name is Verity.

This book goes on my 2020 list of favorites. I loved it!

I know this book is all the rage, but I am definitely in the minority opinion as I wasn't a huge fan... that first scene in the book was overkill (no pun intended). Was it really relevant to the storyline? No. Was it just a shock factor that didn't add any substance? Yes. I also didn't find the relationship between Lowen and Jeremy authentic. It had potential, but fell flat for me, I thought a majority of the story was just "too much" of nothing.

This book was recommended by a friend and it was a really fast read. I read it
In one day. Overall it was a great book, lots of suspense, cliffhanger chapter endings, and really sad parts that made you feel for the characters. The only negative thing is there is some unnecessary repetitive porn in there that kind of made it cheesy romance novel style which I don't usually like to read. Other than that, definitely recommend this book for some quick entertainment.

The book was easy to follow and the writing flowed. Love a book with twists and turns. Usually I love a bow at the end but this one left it a loose bow and I liked it.

A good page turner. A thriller/mystery. Good to the last page.

Think you have this book figured out, guess again. I loved the range of emotions. The author takes you on a crazy roller coaster ride that you have to put down, but have to know what happens next. Great read

Dark and thought-provoking.

What I Loved:
The interspersed autobiography
Pacing and twists

What I didn't like: I wasn't a big fan of Jeremy at all.

Could not put this down and it left me wondering what was true. Great read. Paid it forward on vacation and gave it to the person next to me on the beach.

This book is a good book, but not my cup of tea. I gave it 4 stars because it is well written. I finished the book because I need a V book for the A to Z challenge. If it wasn't for that, I would have stopped reading and just mailed it off. I can NOT say I am glad I finished it. It just made me feel scuzzy. I am glad it is over.

First of all VERITY is heinous, but the Protagonist, Lowen, sure does over react. Hmmm. Like a gothic novel. Jane Eyre anyone?

There were a lot of sex scenes between Jeremy and the two women, not at the same time. I kind of hate the romance scenes, "the Earth moved" and all that flower bs. This is pretty graphic about positions etc. It did not bother me as much as the faux romance. Not intended for young audiences for sure.
