I wasn't sure that I liked this book at first but then I couldn't put it down. Gaitskill's writing style is somewhat disjointed, but the story is very clear. The characters aren't very likeable people, but in some way you actually end up rooting for them. Definitely worth reading, especially if you live or have lived in Manhattan and have any experience with models and a wild lifestyle...

This is a well-written but often disjointed. The characters are interesting but dark but the premise is good with an intense story.
Not a quick read for me.
