First off... love that cover! That is what drew me to this book initially. Then after reading the outline of the book, I had to buy it. Artemisia was a terrific character. She is studious, reserved and lonely. Then she gets bound to a revenant who is quite the opposite. Together they fight evil and each other. Loved the banter they had and watching the relationship move on. The setting of this story was great. Kind of dark but hopeful at the same time. There were a few parts that I don't think I fully understood what was going on but it didn't take away from the story. Even though the ending summed everything up, it did leave room for a possible sequel. If so, I would continue.
