What a world Holly Lisle has created! Truly unique. In this world, magic is the norm and using it comes at a cost to a large portion of the populace. One boy, Wraithe, as he names himself can not do magic and even more astonishing, magic cannot affect him!
He saves himself and another person from the Warrens and so begins a wild ride that takes him to great heights and depths. Wraithe is an endearing character, albeit flawed, but you find yourself hoping that he finds a way to overcome the status quo...
As you can guess his alter ego is the Agitator and he is fomenting a revolution against all that is evil and wrong in this world. Will he succeed? That is the stuff of which this book is made. Happy reading!!!

This was actually written and published AFTER her Secret Texts Trilogy which consists of Diplomacy of Wolves, Vengeance of Dragons and Courage of Falcons. However, it is much, much better to read this before you read the trilogy, as it lays the groundwork and history for the people and events that are in those books.
This and the trilogy are very good, and Holly Lisle is an author I highly recommend!
