Sixth book in a 6 book series, each running from 180 to 200+ pages. Scholastic 'certified' - says ages 9-12 but I'm pushing 60 and enjoyed all 6 books. I think 9 and up is just fine. Enjoyable read for both girls and boys...

NOTE: These books need to be read in sequence.

Whew! Each previous book has been a cliff-hanger...now the conclusion. Tal and Milla Talon-Hand still strive to save the Veil which protects both their worlds. Is the battle won? Are the worlds saved? Everything for both the Icecarls and the Castle folk have changed beyond what any could have imagined. Have all been saved - eh...read the book and find out...

I give the complete series a 4.5 stars - Book one sets up the story line and world parameters so is a little slow to start - but quickly builds up speed and excitement leaving you with a literal cliffhanger waiting for the next book - fully enjoyable for anyone (girls and boys).
Each book continues the fast pace, and the story continues to grow with ever changing new requirements and additions added as the story progresses.

Tal and Milla join forces for the final battle.

This is a very satisfying conclusion to the series.

It hits just the right note!
