Debbie Macomber never fails. She is a wonderful writer and I get totally mesmerized by her books. However! this was, as beautifully as it was written, so sad and made me cry so hard! I honestly wish I had skipped this one. I purposely skipped all her Blossom Street books, the ones about cancer and survivors (or not!), etc. This fit right in with those. I honestly felt as if I personally lost a loved one to cancer. It was a good love story, good for the rest of the family. If only the Harper hadn't died, I would give it a raving, 2 thumbs up! Aw, actually, it still gets 2 thumbs up but I sure could have done without all the crying.
Heartbreakingly good!
