The account of the resignation of the first female neurosurgeon in the country. Conley's detailed memoir of her involvement in medicine since the 1960s brings us into a world of the old boys' club, where women were treated as nothing more than submissive to top surgeons. No one was safe from insults--not even this top neurosurgeon.

We all know that this kind of power struggle still exists in male dominated fields.
