Debut novel featuring prosecutor Melanie Vargas. With a young 6 month old daughter at home and a cheating husband, Melanie lands a high profile case that could make or break her career. I enjoyed this one alot. This is the beginning of a series that I look forward to reading.

MOST WANTED by Michele Martinez: First novel from a hot shot New York Federal prosecutor about a hot shot New York Federal prosecutor. Art imitates life in this fast paced debut. As with many first efforts, Most Wanted would benefit from a tighter editorial hand. We tend to learn too much about too many people. While it is obvious that Melanie the prosecutor is the main character, you're not as certain about some of the others. Major gritty, even for a hard boiled fan like me. Nicely paced, but again just a bit jam packed, as though there is concern about no tomorrow (or second book). Overall a promising start for a shiny new talent.

I would give this 4 1/2 stars. It is a great debut novel and I can't wait to read more by this author!
I absolutely loved this book!! If you like mystery mixed with a hint of flirtation then you will LOVE this book!! I cannot wait to go buy the next one!!
fast paced, nice ending
Great Book!
Michele Martinez's debut about Melanie Vargas is very suspenseful. Vargas is an attorney with an absent husband and an infant daughter. Between baby sitter problems and struggles with her boss, Vargas begins developing feelings for an FBI agent working a case with her.
Got to page 61 and quit. Didn't care what happened to the protagonist, wasn't interested in reading any more. Hope someone else likes it better than I did.
Really enjoyed this book.
This book is very good. Would make a great movie. Written by a lawyer. A little gore in the beginning. Author took book from her experience. I recommned if you like Patrica Cromwell's books.
