The Warded Man is absolutely the best fantasy novel I have ever read. It is non-stop action with wonderful characters and totally new magic elements I have not seen in another fantasy read. I love George R.R. Martin's Clash of Kings series and Warded Man ranks right up there in the stratosphere. My friend did not like it until after page 150 because he was looking for the main character to start some action.

ALL of the lesser characters, the story plotting, the excellent descriptions and language used to describe the Warded Man's world ARE action right from the first page. I never buy hardbacks, but can't wait until FEB 2011 for the Desert Spear. If you don't like this exceptional deput novel...nothing at all will please you that you read in the future...

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book drew me in and kept me reading til the last page. The summary does a good job letting you know what you are getting into.
There are very brutal situations, that while not graphic, leave no doubt what kind of world these people live in. Just be aware of that.

Well written, fast paced and completely intriguing. Loved it.
