5 stars! Set in Wales, this is the story of Lady Rosslyn of England and Lord Madoc of Wales. A marriage between the two is arranged by the King for Madoc's help in putting down an insurrection led by Lady Rosslyn's dead husband. Neither wish to marry but after meeting and having a somewhat spirited discussion, both decide to give marriage a try. Rosslyn is wary of her new husband, having suffered both mental and physical abuse at the hands of her dead husband. Madoc is also coming into this leery - having lost a wife in childbirth and also a little scared of having Rosslyn be afraid of him due to his size. Good plot with several VERY romantic moments between the two main characters. Side story of strife involving Madoc's brother. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will look for more of this authors work.
