I've been searching for a good romantic suspense writer, and I've finally found one!

I'm watching You had a very original plot line at least one I hadn't seen before. It was well thought out, and kept me interested the whole way through! And there's a pretty even split between the romance and the suspense. Also we're lucky enough to get (I believe) 3 different POV's: Kristen, Abe and the villain's.

With each chapter we get to know Abe and Kristen a little bit more, and I have to say that it's hard not to like, or even root for them! And the bad guy was a real surprise!

Overall a very good read! I've added all her other novels to my TBR list :-)

Great story! Full of suspense with the right amount of romance...loved that Kristin and Abe both had things in their pasts that they were afraid to acknowledge. That gave their characters more depth...and the bad guy...had me rooting for him even though what he was doing was wrong, and also had me guessing at his identity right up to the end.

ASA Kristen Mayhew has dedicated her life to putting criminals behind bars. Then someone decides to take the law into their own hands, killing the criminals that Kristen was unable to convict. Kristen herself is horrified by what the media has labeled the Vigilante Killer. After each murder, the killer sends Kristen a note along with a box that will lead the police to the grave of the victim. Though Kristen doesn't grieve for the criminals that have been murdered, nor does she condone anyone taking the law into their own hands.

Detective Abe Reagen has returned to Homicide after five years undercover. After the brutal shooting of his wife six years before and watching her waste away for the five years following the shooting, Abe has only tried to forget. When he meets Kristen for the second time, he is free to let his feelings show. Though he knows that she's suffered heartache in her life, he also knows he can't let her go. Together they embark on a journey to find a killer who is killing killers and rapists. The race to find the killer is intensified when the family of one of the Vigilante Killer's victims vows to find out who the killer is. And the best way to find that out is through Kristen.

I was very surprised who the killer was, but I thought it was very fitting. And the epilouge was perfect! This is her best book yet. There is a enough romance in the mix that it makes it great.

I have loved all of Karen Rose's books. She keeps you in suspense and your always guessing till the end. She also adds romance well without over doing it and turning it into a D.S novel. Her characters are ones you can relate to in some way.

Very enjoyable story filled with intense and, at times quite disturbing scenes of violence and retribution. At the center of this story is prosecutor Kristen Mayhew who begins receiving letters and photos from someone who is seeking vengeance against the criminals who have escaped the wheels of justice. Police Detective Abe Reagan is assigned to protect her when she begins receiving threats from the family of one of the vigilantes victims.

I really loved Kristin and Abe. They are both damaged emotionally and carrying very painful pasts. I enjoyed how they were able to work through the painful baggage they are carrying and begin to build a relationship built on trust. This story also has a lot of interesting secondary characters, including Abes entire family, Abes coworkers and even the vigilante, whom I found myself feeling a lot of sympathy for.

I recommend this author if you are looking for character driven stories that keep your interest trying to work out who the villain is while delivering romance and suspense.

Another excellent read by Karen Rose! I tried going back to another favorite author just because sometimes Karen Rose's books are so detailed and it was like eating a stale cracker! Not sure what I'll do when I've read all of hers!

A dark secret keeps Chicago assistant state\'s attorney Kristen Mayhew as tightly wound as the springy red curls she works to pin down. Meals at the nearby diner, sleepless nights renovating her empty house and days in court where the bad guy more often than not doesn\'t face justice make up her lifeuntil she finds the bodies of three criminals she failed to convict in the trunk of her car. Each dead body comes accompanied by a sinister letter, the writer informing \"Dearest Kristen\" that justice has been done on her behalf. An unusual twist for a suspense novel, to be sure, but because the murderer preys on rapists, gang members and pedophiles, Rose\'strademark tentacles of fear never fully extend (as they did in her earlier books, Don\'t Tell and Have You Seen Her). Instead, this book\'s greatest strength lies in the romance between Kristen and handsome detective Abe Reagan, who\'s still reeling from the death of his wife.

Instead, this book's greatest strength lies in the romance between Kristen and handsome detective Abe Reagan, who's still reeling from the death of his wife. Abundant side characters, including Abe's entire jovial clan, clutter the plot and diminish the story's tension, especially when minor players suddenly step forward to play major roles. But readers will appreciate Rose's sensitive portrayal of Kristen's hesitancy to trust and Abe's gentle perseverance in uncoiling the vibrant woman within.

After a bad day in court and finding a flat tire on her car, Assistant State's Attorney Kristen Mayhew finds evidence of three murders in the trunk of her car. A vigilante killer, calling himself her "humble servant" is bringing justice to the victims of the cases that Kristen lost. His letters to Kristen tell her that he is doing this on her behalf. Detective Abe Reagan is one of the detectives assigned to the case. Even though they are both attracted to each others, issues from their past keep them at arms length.

Another great book from Karen Rose. This is a well plotted police procedural with an interesting romance thrown in. Both Kristen and Abe are characters with depth who both had an interesting back story. The secondary characters are also well fleshed out and seem like real people. I'm really enjoying all the stories from this author. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

Star prosecutor Kristen Mayhew has a dangerous secret admirer. He seems to know her every thought, her every move. He sends her letters. And he kills the criminals she herself is powerless to stop.

This avenger even knows Kristen's deepest secret - the one tht has kept her from surrendering her heart to Abe Reagan, the police detective sworn to protect her. Like Kristen, Reagan is haunted by the loss of something precious that can never be regained. But in the shadow of a calculating serial killer, the two turn to each other and dare to rediscover passion...even as the messages and vicious murders continue. Even as the killer's thirst for retribution makes Kristen a target for murder.
