Temple, a hotel magnate, and Daisy, a woman shrimper on Galveston Island, meet when she saves his daughter Rebecca--when a pleasure boat explodes. Forgetting everything else except that Daisy represents safety, the little girl clings to her savior. Temple has been wracked with worry every since he ex-wife stole their little girl and wants to sweep Rebecca up and take her back to his world. He is forced to learn patience when Rebecca won't be parted from Daisy. Against a humming background of danger--was it a drug boat? Why did it explode?--the worlds of shrimping and hotels collide. Temple and Daisy learn to let go of stereotypes and get to know and love each other. Of course, they do. It's a Harlequin Superromance!
This was an okay book. I think the only reason I didn't really like it is because it isn't my type of book.
