I really didn't have much of an idea what this book was about, but when i saw the advertisements for the movie I thought I'd like it. It was a little different than I imagined it would be, but overall a very good read. Glimpses of life as a traveling carnival worker/
performer in their heyday. I especially liked the bond between the main characters and the animals - particularly Rosie, the elephant. An interesting, touching, enjoyable read!
