Surprisingly good. Cornwell explains the details of the battle for the non-military type (like the difference between a regiment and battalion, and when an army would form a square and when they'd do a line). He seems to be a defender of Wellington and his decisions, and makes quite a few references to the Spanish campaign (which is where the British army got its experience, after all), which is where a lot of the Richard Sharpe novels take place.

Wow! Excellent book! I'd like to say I was up all night reading it, but it took me a little longer than the length of the battle (from beginning to end the battle was 5 days) to read it. I guess it could have gone faster if I hadn't been playing and singing ABBA the whole time.
