As someone who has small children, I had difficulty reading this book. I had to come back to it many times to finish it. It is absolutely heart wrenching. That being said, it is well written and I found it well worth the read.

I was so looking forward to reading this. I was then so disappointed when I did. Although the author suffered a tragic loss, it was hard to connect with her. She seemed very selfish, cold and removed from the tragedy around her and I still can't get over the fact that she did not warn her parents.

I found the book an easy read, however, it was a bit boring as Sonali goes into the most minute details about her sons. I realize that it would be devastating to lose your parents, husband, and two sons in an instant, but I found her profound grief became a bit much five years after her loss. I understand that people experience grief differently and I am deeply sorry for her loss. Her description of tormenting the people that much later rented her parents home was a bit shocking.
