I loved this book. Read it in 3 days.
David Giffels does a wonderful job of describing what it's like to take on an old mansion of a house that is so severly in disrepair it would make a normal person run for their lives!!! This once majestic brick mansion built in 1913 is in an unimaginable state of total destruction when the author and his wife decide to buy it.
Mishaps and unexpected repairs hound them, animals in the attic, a hint of a ghost in the house and sad losses along the way. You will laugh outloud at times and silently mourn for the author's losses too.I found the book very interesting and hard to put down. Makes me very grateful for only the small repairs my own house needs!
