I thought this was a very good listen. The reader is excellent. If you've ever had a teen in trouble, it is worth listening to. It's short, only 8 CD's.
I love Pelecanos' writing style. It grabs your attention and pulls you into the story. In saying that, I mean that even though I wasn't sold on the reasoning or believeability of putting the money back in the hiding spot, the story kept me interested. The narrator has a great voice and much is due him for the success on the audiobook. I recommend this book and suggest The Turnaround as well.
