I thought was pretty good but I would suggest you read them in order, I have book 3 on my wish list and if I don't get it soon then I'll probably have the library get it for me

More in line with syfy so you have to expect strange happenings.

Ethan Burke has now been named sheriff of Wayward Pines, the town/prison that he entered 3 years ago and has not been permitted to leave. He is given the truth about the town by David Pilcher (creator of said town).
There are still people who are trying to leave the town, remembering lives from the past. Ethan is with his wife and his son, but he eventually tells Theresa the truth about the situtation.
His former lover, Kate, is also in the town and she seems to be a deviant, not following the rules, so David Pilcher needs Ethan to get her straightened out.

The tale hasn't really progressed much further than the first novel.

This picks up just days from where the first left off. The tension builds toward the end but this one doesn't wrap up as the first did. The cliffhanger will leave you needing to read the conclusion so I suggest having book 3 in hand.

A great follow up to the 1st book that answers a lot of questions that were left hanging. Another great twist at the end that you just knew was coming but didn't want it to. I'm curious to see how Crouch finishes this story up.
