Though this is an old book - for this field! - written in 1986, it has lots of relevant information. Just as I had hoped it addresses web site structure with good suggestions about planning the site concept and functions. You can just skip all references to dial-up and DOS and value the rest.
Though this is an older book, from 1996, it still does give a good overview of the design concepts behind building an effective web site.
