A book with a lot of story. Food, romance, war, politics, human relationships & sex. My opinion though the sex was way too explicit. Would have been better for the build up then fade away rather then go into so much detail! Otherwise a very good read. Turns out to be a page turner. Hopefully it will be made into a movie.

I began reading this book not expecting much, but I was delightfully surprised to fin it is one of the best I have read in a very long time. It is, of course, about romance and delicious food. But it is also about history, for as it turns out most of the events and incidents described in this book actually took place.

This book has a different viewpoint of WWII than most. It includes history, romance, and lots of cooking tips. Plenty of innuendoes which inserts humor. ÏA good read.

This is such a good read. It's humorous, touching, love story taking place in Italy during WW II. It has a bunch of stuff about Italian food that made me hungry when reading it!!!!

Boring!! I found this book to be way too wordy and the exciting parts were few and far between. The only shining moments were the great Italian recipes.
