A pleasant little read by a descendant of Agatha Christie.
Another good one in the Manor House series. A bit more developement between Elizabeth & Earl's characters which is nice to see. Looking forward to reading the last one in this series.
A glimpse of English village life during World War II
Cozy, English WWII period of time. This was was so funny in places, I just fell out. She is a wonderful writer and has a great sense of humor. Good fun and a great read.
The eighth book in the series -- and reportedly the next to last one -- isn't quite as good as the previous one. Not much character development, but plenty of action. Still a fun read for fans of the Manor House Mysteries.
Another good Kate Kingsbury story
This book actually made me chuckle out loud. I was reading it during lunch in a restaurant but do not think anyone heard me. That Rita and her Housewives Group is just so funny in this book. I can just picture them marching around yelling and causing commotion. The Germans would surely hear them miles away and never be caught. Funny book and a great series. I love it.
I really enjoy this series. Very much a British "cozy."
The book takes place during World War II. The author tells wonderful stories.
All of her books are 5 star to me!!!
Lady Elizabeth is once again involved with a nasty murder in her village of Sitting Marsh...Ms. Kingsbury's characters are believable...and the interplay between them is often very amusing...I really enjoy this series.....
