First, I made the "Fence Rail" out of three solids of ivory, rose-pink and brown... and enjoyed it so much that I cut up the rose-printed backing I had purchased for it, added two complimentary small prints... and made another "Fence Rail" for the backing! Reversible!
This book was my first quilting adventure... and this book made it easy! It told me how much fabric to buy, how many strips to cut, how to piece the strips, how to make rows of the strips (and how to join the rows!)... and finished up with borders, backing, quilting and finishing!
I took two days longer than just the weekend... but I was persnickity! And I got a LOT of compliments on that quilt! It finally ended up on a little girl's bed as a begged-for gift!
This is the perfect how-to book!

Hardcover, no dust jacket, not sure if there ever was one. A few pencil notations that someone put in along the way and I am leaving them in as I think they are sweet.
