I started to buy this book, but I did more research, since this author is always controversial. I am glad I did; and here is what I found...unfortunately more negatives than positives. ....for myself I will pass on this one........
the following comments are from other reviewers, and not my own statements.
The statement on TV, is that the drug free product, that consumers take daily, can be brought anywhere...is totally incorrect. Someone is misinforming the public. Hcg can not be purchased in health food stores or purchase by the average public. Also, this product can only be administered by medical personnel with experience in drawing up the proper amount of hcg to inject on a daily basis. DON'T BE MISINFORMED, WHEN IT COMES TO YOU HEALTH.
I think he's got some good info, but I'm just disappointed in that he's suggesting practices that have yet to be proven as safe and healthy. As well, to follow this, even the first 30 days which are highly suggested yet not required, you need to have LOTS and LOTS of money for a lot of supplements, vitamins, procedures and then when you get past that, MORE money to buy injections which are barely even considered legal and only obtained through, it seemed through his reading, unethical measures through a medical professional, which, once again, he is not. I believe the author is is interesting, but I believe he is a little too eccentric with some of his thoughts and writings. I don't want to discredit him completely, but I have a hard time putting my complete trust in his writings.
How disappointing after waiting months for this book to come out to find that the 'natural' cure is a daily injection administered by a doctor, a truck-load of supplements, frequent colonics, and massages, while eliminating prescription meds and body lotion. While I don't dispute that it works, it's just not doable for many of us. I'll stick with a healthy diet and exercise program, thank you.
This book was a rip off, first it tells you to get 15 colonics in 30 days, that just is ridiculous in itself. Then you have to get weekly injections of hcg which most likley your Doctor will not approve. This diet does not sound Healthy for you at all it sounds ridiculous and practically impossible for any normal person to do. I'm sorry I wasted my money.
All I have to say is that any RESPECTABLE author need not resort to 'Informercials' to sell a book. THAT was my first warning. Upon further research and after reading other opinions of this 'phoney' I concluded not to buy his weight loss book and not to pass a second glance at anything with Kevin Trudeau's name attached to it. Shame on you again Trudeau for insulting the knowledgeable public.
I was disappointed when I got my book to discover that you have to take weekly injections of the prescription drug hCG to be effective. The average person doesn't have access to this drug without visiting a physician, who most likely will be unwilling to prescribe.

Save your credits for fiction worthy of your reading time. Trudeau's books may contain some facts, but if you are looking for helpful factual information, check Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Michael Roizen.

Cure is a rare word in the medical treatment of obesity and I disagree with the title of this informative essay on that basis. Otherwise, technically, the text describes a legitimate and time tested medical course of treatment that does "work" and does reduce weight in anyone, male or female who follows the strict protocol food plan devised by a world famous internist, Dr. A.T,W.Simeon This method described is well known in Europe; the point of Trudeau's book is to reveal the strange and strangled suppression of this simple and economical method of weight reduction by the A. M. A. and other medical circles of influence for decades in the United States It's a depressing commentary on the American medical establishment. But get to "know the enemy" I say, get the facts and try the HCG method under an expert's guidance and enjoy the results for yourself. Then you will wonder what could they have been thinking - to try to prevent this great medical idea from becoming known in the U. S. He reveals that.

DON'T waste a credit on this book. I felt guilty sending it on, I think I read half of a page before wanting to vomit. This author is a convicted scammer and crook. Wish I would have read up about him before getting the book.

There is some truly good advice in this book but the Human Growth Hormone that Kevin recommends is hard to come by.
If you have contacts or can get some HGH from another country then I think this book would be beneficial for you.
If you have contacts or can get some HGH from another country then I think this book would be beneficial for you.
I tried the hCG diet, and took the oral hCG w/ liquid B-12 and colloidal silver orally. I lost ten pounds in a week. It was a very positive experience for me. I agree that there is much controversy about the author of this book, but the weight-loss cure part of book is based on the research and publication "Pounds and Inches" of respected physician Dr. Simeons (1954). If you do your own research, you will better understand the protocol and the science behind it. Kevin Trudeau didn't discover this weight loss cure, he is just capitalizing on the concept by sharing information about it. You can read "Pounds and Inches," here: http://hcgdiet.s3.amazonaws.com/pounds-and-inches.pdf You can see some miraculous and inspiring results of the hCG diet if you search on YouTube. Again, this is not for every one. Disliking Kevin Trudeau or believing every negative thing written about him (see Wikipedia) is no reason to slam the science behind the concept, which is not his.
This book is a scam. Kevin Trudeau has been sued by the Federal Trade Commission twice for making misrepresentations. Don't waste your time on this book.

Awww, c'mon, girls, look at his face. He wouldn't pull a fast one on you, would he?
I think this is a bunch of hogwash, and I'm very concerned about the safety of using the drugs he suggests. A lot of people are doing this type of diet, but what are the long-term effects? Also, just like lots of other diets, most people just gain the weight right back. How long would someone have to keep taking these drugs?
