I have every one of Joyce Vedrals' books, and of all of them, this one and "Definition" are my favorites. I am 64 years old and started out three months ago at 5'10" and 192 lbs. I am still 5'10', but so far using the exercises and guidance from this book have lost 19 1/2 lbs. My goal is 150, so I will report back in around June/July or so. I do not follow the diet plan described, but love the weight-lifting, especially the upper body exercises. I use a small notebook and do it the old fashioned way, by keeping an accurate count of my daily calorie consumption, exercise, and weight loss recorded. I am on my second notebook. I do a split routine actually, upper body at home, lower body at our gym. This is great for me and there is noticable definition all over, and I have dropped from a size 16 jeans to a slightly snug size 12. Highly recommend this book!
