I am still a beginner and since moving from Florida to Oregon have a whole new learning curve tossed in. I enjoy growing herbs and discovered lovage for the first time two years ago. I hope it grows back again this year as it did last year. If not, I'll be ordering another plant online because I just love it. I'll also be planting strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, chard and onions again this year. If you have never tried gardening with Earthbox®, I definitely recommend giving it a try. I just ordered another one along with replant kits and new mulch covers. They have a red red mulch cover now that is supposed to be good for tomatoes and strawberries, so I got those too. Since I'm on their email list, I got a promo code for a new product: a new 6" round self-watering planter. You get two free when you buy an Earthbox®. If you'd like to try it the promo code is FREEMESA15 and here's a link to the item you have to buy to get it free: http://earthbox.com/earthbox-systems/the-original-earthbox-gardening-system/earthbox-gardening-systems.html?utm_campaign=Promos&utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=16645360&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--vVjG4B9uq28p3dTjLXqjyfDtRFVOlQNqQcMhNh_TZhs7d1z_FV5ue9zmippE3sn2RiIO6fcO_hr8Jab3KP3b1hmYuTQ&_hsmi=16645360 The first time I tried one of these systems, I grew green onions almost the size of leeks and ZERO WEEDS to pull! I highly recommend. They also sell a holder for the boxes that put them about waist high, but I think they're too expensive. I'll see if hubby can make me some so I don't have to do so much bending. |
