Amazon.Com Review: Classic book - dated ideas
Ok this book isn't for everyone, but then what book is? The ideas are somewhat outdated. But then the book was written in the 1920s, this was well before the Stonewall riots. So for that fact alone the book is ahead of its time. Also the book is a hard read. Don't expect to finish it off in a single sitting. Its a hard read but if you keep an open mind, it is worth it.

I read this book in college in the 70s. I was amazed and enthralled with it. I couldn't believe this was available in the library in the '70s let alone written and published in the '20s. I loved this book and I cried.
It is on My Top Ten Books I've Read list.
