This was a great book. I read it for a class in college and really enjoyed it. It is a history book that is not dry or dull, and is full of interesting tidbits about these women that you probably never knew.

The author of this book has a very lively writing style, which works very well with the subject of the book. There were a few things that caused some disapointment to me (such as Amelia Earhart), but overall it was a good book. I do, however, think that the author missed out in the Seekers section by not including Margery Kempe.

Holland evokes energy in this unconventional book that will acquaint you with the likes of Grace O'Malley, a blazing terror of the Irish seas in the 1500s, and surprise you with a fresh perspective on legends like Bonnie Parker of "Bonnie And Clyde" fame. With wit, wisdon, and flair, this book makes a compelling case for the virtue of getting into trouble.
