I was in second grade and found this book in a bag of books in the basement. I was scared to read it because I didn't know that Goosebumps books are aimed towards kids. My second grade teacher brought up how good Goosebumps books are and he said that he could read them to the class if we brought them to him. I said that I had this book and he read it to the class. Since then, R. L. Stine is still my favorite author because he got me started with chapter books. This is a good book and the television episode that was released on VHS and I think DVD is good also. I like this book a lot because it has my favorite Goosebumps twist at the end even though all of the Night of the Living Dummy books are my favorite.
GRADY AND HIS FAMILY HAS MOVED TO FLORIDA DURING CHRISTMAS VACATION IN COUNT GRADYS FATHER IS STUDYING AND RELEASING SWAMP DEER (A KIND OF DEER FROM S AMERICA) IN THE EVERGLADES.THEN THERES A FULL MOON,AND EVERY NIGHT GRADY HEARS THEESE STRANGE HOWLS.THEN HIM AND HIS SISTER DECIDE TO EXPLORE THE SWAMP INSTEAD THEY GET LOST AND A SWAMP HERMIT CHASES THEM.THEY MAKE IT BACK HOME.THEN AT NIGHT GRADY HEARS THE HOWLS AGAIN AND DECIDES TO INVESTIGATE.HIS SISTER HEARD THEM TOO SO SHE GOES WITH HIM.THERES A SCRATCHING SOUND AT THE DOOR.ANYWAY, THEY GET CAUGHT AND GO BACK TO SLEEP.THE NEXT DAY A HUGE DOG KNOCKS GRADY DOWN AT THE DOOR AND HIS PARENTS ALLOW HIM TO KEEP IT.THEN GRADY MEETS A BOY NAMED WILL AND DECIDE TO EXPLORE THE SWAMP WITH WOLF (THE DOGS NAME) AND THEY SEE THE SWAMP HERMIT HE HAS SUPPOSEDLY BLOODSTAINS DOWN HIS SHIRT THEN HE SAYS HES A WEREWOLF BUT...READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT THE WHOLE STORY.EXITING BOOK

One of R. L. Stine's earlier entries in the series, this book always captivated me so.
A young boy named Grady swears there's strange things going on, but people keep telling him his dog is just being bad. But Grady starts to realize that it's not his dog--something else is causing trouble in Fever Swamp. Something that just might be very big, very furry, and VERY dangerous...
Being a Goosebumps book, it is short and sweet. But if you're in the mood for light fast reading, hey, pick this up.

Yet another enthralling horror story for young readers. Everyone thinks Grady's dog is howling at night, but is it something else that's baying at the moon in Fever Swamp? "Readers beware- you're in for a scare"!
