Not a book to read while eating or drinking. I did not really enjoy this book at all. It is rather disturbing. Not for those that are squimish. Seems to be written mainly for shock value and very little actualy plot line.
I am usually open to just about any topic but this just pushes over that line.
ICK! is how I would sum it up.

Ugh...could not get through it, profoundly graphic and vile, felt I needed to shower after reading the first chapter.
I thought "Wetlands" was pretty cool. I'm not at all the squeamish type, which I'm sure helped, but I generally found the book quite endearing and entertaining. I found Helen, the protagonist, to be clever, funny and likable, and I was eager to hear what crazy new story she'd have to share. Be warned: if you're easily grossed out or uncomfortable with sexual topics, you'll probably barely make it past the first few pages. However, if you think you can handle it, I'd definitely recommend this one.
