This was such a great debut novel! I don't usually gush about a book, but I slowed down because I didn't want the book to end. It sort of starts off as a mystery, yet it's so much more. The people are kind of broken after a horrible crime and What Comes After tells about how the people respond in the aftermath of the crime. There is also an incredible dog who provides love and allows Isaac and Evangeline to feel love towards one another. I strongly recommend this book, oh, and there's interesting information about Quakers.
