A family friendly approach by doctors who are both learned and compassionate. They include personal anecdotes, quotes from parents, research studies and clinical case vignettes. They explore both traditional and alternative therapies to provide a comprehensive resource. They explain numerous and varied treatment options. In the chapter on Food Allergies, Dr. Ehrlich writes,"I tell my patients, if people point at you when you walk down the street and say, 'Look at that neurotic parent,' then and only then are you being careful enough. ...By 'neurotic' I meant a selfless dedication that to outsiders could appear excessive. 'They' don't understand the threat to your child. You do." Drs Ehrlich and Chiaramonte get it.
