I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a collection of stories (actually articles the author wrote for The New Yorker), about subjects or perspectives one generally does not consider. For example:

Pitchmen
Ketchup
Hair Dye
Enron
Mammography
Pit Bulls
... and others.

Each offers a unique perspective, and/or background info and/or history of the subject discussed. The book is very readable and contains a wealth of knowledge - even some wisdom.

I'm going to read more by this author.

Gladwell's essays are very interesting and information but sometimes tend to drag on. It is thought provoking to look at news items that were such a huge part of pop culture at the time that they happened from a different point of view.
