This is another favorite of mine. It's a very touching story with a very intricately woven background. I love the many differences of each character. Things are not what they seem with Jana's mom. Jana's great-aunt is the one who brings everyone together and connects the family. Jana has to deal with hurt after hurt after hurt. There are so many things for her to be angry about and she struggles with her faith.

Not your typical Christian romance - heartrending sorrow of betrayal and abuse - and learning how God's love overcomes all sorrow.

Tracie Peterson is a great writer. It's about a young lady that comes back from a mission trip, and her world falls apart.

This was a very hard to read but very hard to stop reading book. Lots of tragedy, but Ms. Peterson makes you really care about her characters.

I really enjoyed how easily the gospel was shared in this story - in fact, some very typical, tough questions that many people ask - are dealt with in the story line. Peterson does an excellent job writing it all directly into the story, without it feeling like you're being preached to within a book.
I personally enjoyed the entire book - had me from the first page and I didn't like putting it down. I think the story is realistic and written with compassion.
Highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever dealt with deep past hurts and doesn't think they can ever "get over them". In fact, many could probably relate to the exact details of the characters, in the way that life had wounded them.

Several elements of this book reminded me of "All She Ever Wanted" by Lynn Austin, which is not a bad thing. Ms. Peterson deals with sensitive issues of sexual abuse and rape, and her portrayal of the feelings that survivors experience is about 98% accurate. This isn't a romance story, but a story of reconciliation with God and with others. I really enjoyed this story. I would have loved to have gotten more information on the next part of the story, though I think it ended in the right spot. Read this and enjoy.

Once again Tracie Peterson did an outstanding job with this book. This is one of those books that you have a hard time putting down. This is definintly a must read.
I loved this book. Very inspiring and I felt like I learned alot threw a good story so good that I plan on keeping a copy on hand to read again or let friends borrow and keep one on paperback swap because more women need to have the knowledge and inspiration from this book. I requested this book because it is so good that I will probably read it over and over when I feel like I need to. I read it in less than 48 hours never put it down unless I had to and then I was upset about it. I have never suggested a book to anyone but feel strongly about this book and feel every women should read it.

I really enjoy this book one of best of this author...
Tracie Peterson does a wonderful job of dealing with the issues that come from adultery and incest and rape! Wow, she covers alot of topics in one book and does it wonderfully so. A book all about forgiveness and healing and accepting God's willingness to worry for us.
Great fiction book. This book would be a wonderful in assisting someone in dealing with molestation or adultery in their past.

I absolutely loved this book. It was one of those books that just tugs at your heart and keeps you turning the pages! Tracie Peterson writes so beautifully, and I am excited to read some of her other books!

This book is fantastic, I love the way she wrote it, and brought real life questions to the REAL answer in Jesus.
What an unusual book! I tried to tell my daughter what it was about and ended up talking for about half an hour. Very complex and leaves me wanting to know what happened to . . . well, I don't want to give anything away. Let's just say it's one of those books that I wish had a sequel. My husband would remind me that "they're not real, it's just a book", but you know what I mean. A bit preachy, but in a caring way, not overly pushy. The story is actually quite over the top, but I couldn't put it down.
Wonderful book. This is the first I read by Tracie Peterson. Actually was sent by mistake from my book club. Didn't think I was interested, then I forgot to send it back till it was too late. Now I know that was God saying I needed to read this book. God works in mysterious ways...
