Talk about "thrilling and exciting"...this book was great! It took me all of 1 night the next morning & afternoon to finish as it was that difficult to put down! I would find myself putting it down to do something, and then thinking about it until the next time I was able to pick it up! :) It was thrilling right to the end. A "must read" for Christian Thriller readers!

This was an exciting book that left you not wanting to put the book down in the first place, and then rushing to get back to it in the second!
The writing was down-to-earth and enjoyable. The plot was suspenseful, thrilling, and yet, not morbid as some books can be. Without giving away the plot of the story, a young professor receives a gift in the mail...a ring that her mother was wearing...when she was burried! ...and off we go! Enjoy the book, I did!

This is one of those books that prove that Christian fiction can compete with mainstream books. Great suspense and not preachy.

This is an interesting book and very well written. It is apocryphal and keeps you wondering. I liked it.

It's the down to earth contemporary way the author talks to you in this novel that is so compelling. Her "voice". You feel yourself driving in her old '72 truck, shopping at the same stores she does basically walking side by side with Dylan the main character throughout the book. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

I enjoyed this book, but felt that the ending just suddenly got wrapped up a little anti-climactically.

This book was well written but frustrated me in one particular area. This is my own personal opinion, but we are supposed to believe that this cussing, drinking, closet christian is in a spiritual battle with a demon (it is never really explained why she was brought in to the fight). In my personal experience, the more lax Christians tend to not even be aware there is a spiritual war going on, much less be engaged personally with demons & spirits. So, that's just my two cents on the Christian aspect of the plot.

I was able to put it down and come back to it later, so it wasn't a five star read for me. If you are looking for something more out of the norm for Christian fiction, this is it. All said & done, I am glad I read it as I get tired of the squeaky clean, predictable christian lit out there.

Dylan Foster a thirty something single Phd. Her life is fairly happy. She has a job she loves, a home that is her sanctuary, and a cool but old truck. Her department has set up a time for all the staff to bond and get to know each other better. At this event she runs into a strange man who makes her feel very uncomfortable. When she prepares to leave, everyone discovers that someone has given each of them a gift. Not just any gift but something personal that they each wanted. Dylan receives an amazing necklace that she realizes is just the sort of thing she would buy for herself. Whe she prepares to leave, there inside her truck is another small package. When she opens it, it has her mothers wedding ring. A ring she knows was buried with her mother about two years before. Feeling upset and freaked out, Dylan takes off her new necklace and throws it into a pool of water where earlier she was swimming and where she had met the strange man. Upon arriving home, there on the door knob, is the necklace, still dripping from the water.
This is a suspense novel and it lives up to that title. I really enjoyed this book and am about to start book two.

Great premise and story until the ending. That left a lot of loose ends that were never wrapped up. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the ending.
