I really enjoy Donna Everhart's stories. This book was a very different look at the War Between The States. It concentrated on mostly one family, of three generations, their different viewpoints on what direction they take for the sake of the family. Different viewpoints can be misconstrued as "If you're not with us, you are against us" paranoid attitude. And everyone can potentially become enemies. Very good read.
