Plot is interesting but written from a modern point of view versus historical.

I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this book. The language was different, I admit, but it was still very sexy. These two were so perfect for each other. There was not one point in this book that I thought should change. I absolutely loved it. Rose and Grey belonged together. Both characters were easy to relate to. The romance was soooooo steamy and passionate. Beautiful. This is the first Kathryn Smith book I've ever read and I cannot wait to order more from her! I know that this is apparently not her usual style, but I don't care. I think I'll still love her nonetheless. You do not want to miss this seductive, hot, yet emotional story.

This book was just hard to follow. It was such a different premise than most of the books of this genre. She seduces him in a brothel wearing a mask, he wants her but can't have her because of a honor bound promise to her dead father. He guesses that is her that he lusts after so much but refuses her. I only got 1/2 way thru and all this had transpired. The problems were complex and many and characters frustrating.
