This book was fantastic. Written back in the 1930's, the authors do a fantastic job of telling a tale of the end of the world and how humanity reacts.

Follows a group of scientists and their picked group as they try to find a way to make it to the second planet [the first is the one on a collision course with earth].

The thing that stood out most to me was the whole dichotomy of God and Evolution. One minute the people are talking about how Bronson Beta [the second planet] is a second chance from God and the next they're talking about how life could have evolved on it. It was very strange.
