Set in Galloway, Scotland around 1790, this book has many parallels to the bible story of Jacob, Leah & Rachel. It is a little different in that marriage to one of the sisters has been declared illegal according to their church. The two sisters love each other and their lives intertwine.

Whence Came a Prince was a great sequel to the Lowlands of Scotland series. I could not put it down!

This 3-book series was enjoyable from start to finish. It was reminiscent of Jacob, Rachel, and Leah, but with many different twists. I highly recommend the series!

Absolutely fantastic. I loved reading this whole series and was so sad when it ended. Liz Curtis Higgs describes her characters so well you feel as though they are your friends. You are able to see, hear, and feel everything they are going through. Amazing.
