It was a heart breaking read but am glad I finished it plus being thankful I was born and raised in the U.S. Am also thankful I had uncles fighting for us in WW II.

Fascinating book, well written, and a true story. Great way to find out what it was like fighting in WWII on the front lines, from the horrors of the Normandy invasion to the final days of the war. Sacco was one of the soldiers who liberated Dachau Concentration Camp. Moving, heart-wrenching, and truly inspiring.
