Where I Found You by Betsy St. Amant took me to Magnolia Bay and introduced me to an interesting cast of characters. I enjoyed this second-chance enemies-to-more feuding-family contemporary romance, but its title is completely forgettable.
As teens, Noah and Elisa shared a magical summer romance, but it ended badly and their paths haven't crossed since. Ten years later, Noah returns after his grandfather's death to repair hurricane damage at his family's historic inn. When a provision in his grandfather's will requires Noah and Elisa to solve a series of clues, can they overcome their the bad will between themselves and previous generations of their families to find the treasure Noah's grandfather left behind?
Since this is a romance, the ending of Noah and Elisa's story isn't a surprise, but I appreciated the twists the author provided along the way, such as the 'weather report' at the coffee shop (IYKYK). There's plenty of swoony kisses in this sweet faith-based story. I liked the treasure hunt puzzle subplot, but it felt a bit slow as it definitely took a back seat to the romance.
Where I Found You ends with some unanswered questions so I look forward to the next book in the Magnolia Bay series to continue the story. This was the first of the author's novels I've read, and I enjoyed her writing style.
Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for providing a review copy of this book; all opinions are my own.
