Stuart Woods never fails to keep the reader interested. He develops his characters fully, adds in plenty of action, some good surprises and twists, and doesn't leave you hanging in the bushes at the end of the story. I enjoy his detailed descriptions of the story surroundings, including the different countries and nationalaties we visit. There are a few touches of violence, but it doesn't get too gory and it fits into the storyline just right. Also include a brief touch of sex, and you've got an excellent, sizzling book. Highly recommend.

My first Stuart Woods book, but not my last. Good story & fast pace. A man sets out with his wife and daughter to sail through the Panama Canal and to the South Pacific when they are hit by pirates.

This was a very good, quick moving adventure story about the Colombian cocaine cartel and about a wealthy industrialist trying to find his daughter whom the drug lord had enslaved. The story involves this man's attempts to bring his daughter home and get revenge on those who have murdered his wife. The story never lost my interest and having read all of the other reviews of this book I think everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. In fact, I would read this author again. Try it, you'll like it. Intense -- more of a thriller than most Stuart Woods books. While the main character (Cat) was not your typical action hero, he made up for it with plenty of motivation, resourcefulness, and a lot of improvising when things did not go as planned. A well-researched book, as I learned when I read the Acknowledgments (which I usually ignore).
