This is fun. A great thriller that continues to pull you into every page. The plot is germ warfare, the idea though is a great twist. Please someone check this because you are missing out. I love a good thriller and this is one of the best.

Engaging thriller about bio-terrorism thwarted by a female ex-cop and the family of her employer, abetted by a freak snowstorm. Follett creates a high-tech security system for the bad guys to defeat, but anyone who's ever worked with extremely dangerous materials will recognize a flaw the author doesn't even acknowledge.

I LOVED this book! The Philadelphia Inquirer is quoted on the front cover as saying, "Everyone likes a page turner, and Follett is the best." This is the truth. I could hardly stop reading it. But it's a long book at 468 pages in paperpack, so I had to take breaks when my eyes started to burn. Still, I raced through it. The action starts in the first chapter and from there, you never look back. What I like about Ken Follett's writing is that he does his research well so that he can have a plausible background for his thrillers. Then, he doesn't just bore you with car chases and mass killings: He fleshes out his characters well, adds a little romance, puts a little family feeling into the mix and what you end up with is a top-notch thriller that won't bore you. I do not like the basic cop and bad guy scenario. You will not get that kind of boring, predictable story line here.
