Helpful Score: 5
My wife read this book and complained all the way through. She finished it, though, so I did give it one star. The stories are not laugh out loud stories and some just aren't funny at all. They are weakly tied in with Christian themes, but not much more than to add it as an afterthought of each story. If you are looking for a mainstream, milktoast Christian experience and you tend to like fluff over meat, this is the book for you.
A few one-liners as well (all I have attention span for), like the most difficult part of life is between 10 and 70 (that would be good to teach to my 4th grade class).
Good, short stories by Barbara Johnson, Patsy Clairmont, Luci Swindoll, Chonda Pierce and more...
Wonderful, light-hearted read.
