The first chapter had me in stitches -- oh my! Yes, I did strange things with my Barbie dolls, so I could totally relate. The rest of the book was up and down, but overall I liked it. The "tiny wooden hand" story made me laugh, but it was the stinky feet that had me crying.
I enjoyed this book overall - heck, the cover has always made me laugh not to mention the title. (My sister says that it's an appropriate book for me, a weirdo, to read.)

I really liked this book - It is tempting to call it chick lit, but I found the main character more realistic than in your typical chick lit book. The main character seemed very human to me, and made mistakes that were easy to relate to. I think this author really has a unique style.

There were definitely several interesting things going on in this book! It had a lot of slow sections (in the way that I tend to find all true chick lit slow) but at the same time I always wanted to know what was going to happen. The fact that this was written by someone who experienced some of the first moments of internet fame herself made a lot of difference, I think - it gave the book a little extra edge, and I could see a lot of the plot actually happening. People on the internet can certainly be a little larger than their real lives, in ways just like the ones that come up here.

I picked up this book just for my bookshelf to trade. When I actually looked at it, I read pieces here & there, and then decided to read the entire thing in a day. It was great...not what I was expecting at all. I don't usually read chick-lit, and this was a pleasant, funny surprise. I am glad I read it!

I read Going In Circles first, discovered what a genius Pamela Ribon is, then decided I had to devour the rest of her books.
This book did not let me down! Never has a book made me laugh out loud so much. I looked forward to reading her entries, which were hilarious!

Good story, I think we've all been in a situation like this, albeit not as extreme as Anna's.... :) The story was a little slow at times, and it seemed like the book just ends, not really wrapping up very well. Some of Anna's entries were hilarious, and it's a good lesson for us "bloggers" or with sites. ;)

This was a decent book. It wasn't as good as her other book, Why Mom's are weird.
I did enjoy this story of a somewhat aimless, librarian/actress who gets caught up in the partially imaginary world she creates for herself on-line through her web site. Plot involves dealing with lingering past relationaship issues and discovering one's true self. Along the way is the aforementioned plot hiccup- the main character fudges facts in her on line blog and the new love interest is shocked (Shocked!) that everythig she wrote was not 100% true and he doesn't know if he could have a relationship that isn't completely open and honest. Please, not only is this plot device older than dirt, but it seems completely unrealistic in this day and (internet) age considering the situation set out by the book. Some truly inspired moments--all I can say is "tiny wooden hand"- and offer the warning to "drink cautiously" while reading if you don't want to spit your beverage all over the place laughing.
I am normally not a fan of "chick lit". Good in Bed was a fun read, but I wasn't impressed. Basically, I wasn't expecting to like this book. But, I thought it was hilarious. She is a great writer. I found myself reading aloud many sections poolside while on a getaway with girlfriends.

I really enjoyed this book. I think I identified with Anna K more than I have any other character. The entry about being "well-endowed" cracked me up! I actually laughed out loud while reading this, and that is rare for me. Ribon is so witty that I'm slightly jealous!

Fun, fast read. Though I like Pamie and her original journal entries, I could never quite bring myself to like her protagonist, Anna, quite as well. A shame, really.
The premise of this book is fabulous, and it shows that perhaps all lies aren't meant to be taken seriously. The book doesn't always make me fall into the floor laughing, but the story was decent. What happens when you deliberately post a fantasy life, knowing that nobody is going to read what you write, and then suddenly, everyone knows who you are?

This was a great book. I love books that are done journal style. It is about a girl named Anna who starts an online journal and is amazed at the response she gets from her "fans." She creates herself (in the journal) as she thinks she would really like to be. Soon she can't tell real life from the fiction she posts online.
Really good women's fiction, written in the form of blogs, phone calls, e-mail messages and general dialogue. A quick, engaging read.
Books often amuse me, but it's rare that they make me laugh out loud until I cry. This is one of those books. I actually had a mini asthma attack right at the beginning from a great description of a stranger wiping out. Good stuff.

Great book about blogs & the truth in relationships.
I doubted at the beginning that I would like this book but I ended up loving it! I laughed and I cried. My stomach even did flips a couple of times as the author so eloquently described a new, exciting love. I highly reccommend this book!
I realated a little too well with this book, since when I started my online journal in 1999, quite a few bits were big fat lies. I'd make up friends and lovers. I had no idea that what I wrote would actually touch people. Like Anna, I sort of got a large dose of reality when I found myself falling for someone I met through my journal, riddled with guilt that he'd never forgive me for all the lies I told. Luckily, when I told him the truth, Mark forgave me completely. Shortly thereafter I took down my archives and started over again with the truth.
I would recommend this book for the 20s set.
