Very sorry to say it, but this is the first Janet Evanovich book I've been absolutely unable to finish. Limp, tired, no energy, stale, terribly derivative and just not funny. Even though her Stephanie Plum series stalled out for me when she put Steph in a skanky triangle with Joe and Ranger, those books still had at least one laugh out loud set piece in them - like Joe without his pants in One for the Money, or the dwarf factory in Sugar Plums. Maybe there is a wonderfully daft funny scene in this one, but I just couldn't stay interested long enough to find out. Diesel is swell as a subsidiary character but he can't carry a book; Grimoire is just dopey; and Lizzy isn't interesting or unusual in any way. So if you're really far down on the swap list, don't grieve; you're not missing much.

Another good Janet Evanovich book. I don't think they are as good as the Stephanie Plum series but it is still a laugh out loud book.

This series is a quick and funny read. For me I am not a huge fan of the magical element Nd prefer to stick to the Stephanie plum series
